After they’d been walking about a mile Goldnojaws said ‘Are you ready to make love again?’ ‘Not just yet,’ the girl said ‘I haven’t got over the first time yet, you were fantastic’. After they’d walked another mile Goldnojaws said ‘Are you ready to make love yet?’ ‘Just give it a little bit longer,’ the girl said. They walked another mile. Goldnojaws said ‘Are you ready to make love again now?’ The girl said ‘Do you know something? I’ve gone right off the idea of doing it again’. Goldnojaws looked at her and said ‘Do you mean to tell me I’ve been carrying this fucking anvil all this way and....' “And BloJob laughed her head off,” said Bond. Goldnojaws was absolutely livid. “And now you too will die!” he raged. “But it won’t be through laughing, it will……” At that moment the first of the 2000 pound bombs exploded overhead. The building literally shook and all the windows shattered. Seizing his opportunity Bond bounded to his feet and leapt through one of the windows. He picked himself off and jumped into the Aston a bare second before the second bomb struck. The second strike breached the river and a million gallons of the River Mersey came flooding into the cavern. With a loud crack the building housing Goldnojaws and his cohorts cracked in half and the roof fell in on them. Within seconds the water level was up to the bonnet of the Aston. Ten seconds later it was entirely covered. Bond switched on the headlights and selected main beam. In front of him was a sea of drowning superlocusts. He waited for a full minute, by which time the cavern was completely filled with water and most of the superlocusts had died. The rest wouldn’t be long after. He switched the Aston to submarine mode and set off back up the tunnel to safety. |
