All the Italians I know would no more favour a TV emergency procedure over a Stewardess doing it in the flesh than they would favour a black pudding over a pizza napolitano. I have found out that Balkan Bulgarian Airlines still use stewardesses to go through the emergency procedures, so we will be travelling with them, then making our way overland to Tuscany from Sofia. It is a bit of a detour I know, but should be well worth it. There is of course a risk that being Slavonic the stewardesses may have moustaches but that is a risk we are willing to take.
