Dear KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

I always make a point of travelling with the national airline whenever taking a holiday in a foreign country, as I find that one gets the impression of the holiday actually beginning from the moment one boards the aeroplane; so when I fly to Amsterdam at the end of next month it will be with your airline. I trust that you serve genuine Dutch cuisine during the flight, as I have long been a fan of your famous Edam cheese - although it must be said I wouldn't kill somebody for another chunk of your Gouda. So I hope I won't be disappointed vis-à-vis the food!

Actually, speaking of disappointments, I have already had one before I even arrive in The Netherlands. Talking to a friend who has already visited your country I was saddened to hear from him that you have a lot of dykes over there. Personally I have no time for them, but I suppose that a woman's sexual preferences are entirely her own business when it comes to the rub, and I don't suppose it will spoil my holiday - anyway your tulips and windmills will more than make up for it I am sure.

But to the point of my letter; which is that at the time of travelling with you I will have a broken leg. This being the case I was wondering if I might have a little preferential treatment? I believe that airlines allow people who are handicapped in this manner to board and leave the aeroplane first, and provide a privileged seat for them, so I would like a little bit of that if it is all the same to you.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully

T Ravenscroft (Mr)
