Thank you for your recent correspondence. The Peseta rate
onboard at the time you flew with us was 225 Pesetas to the Pound. We do in
fact make a passenger announcement to say that this is the Monarch rate and not
the current Bank Rate and this is also stated in our Inflight Price List under
the payment section (copy enclosed). Therefore, the 1000 Peseta note you
tendered had a U.K. value to Monarch of £4.44. If the goods had cost
£3.50 you should have actually received change of 94 pence. It would
appear that the Cabin Crew actually gave you 26 pence too much
change.
