Dear Mrs Mitchell
Thankyou for your letter of 20th June, and for putting me right about 'Cheshire Cheese.'
With regard to Miss Bradbury, it wasn't necessary for you to use the euphemism
'left the business' to describe her departure - I am in business myself and
am therefore well aware that one has to wield the axe occasionally.
Notwithstanding this however, I do feel that to dismiss her for making a
careless typing mistake was a little harsh to say the least. With this in
mind, and because I feel at least partly responsible for the poor girl's
fate, I would be grateful if you could provide me with her address, as I
wish to offer her a position in my Adult Calendars company.
